Artist Statement
Amberlee C. Hales is a multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on connecting with her subjects and making art about them. She hunts to capture good relationships that involve love and care and cover them in color. Her process includes outside walks, meeting new people and collecting rocks. Then gathering all of her thoughts to demonstrate the beautiful connections there are in the world. She uses mostly plastic paint because it is better to place it on a canvas than to throw it in the sea. She hopes that her audience enjoys her work and sees the humor in her writing and how ludicrous it is to write in the third person about herself.
About the Artist
Amberlee is from Mesa, Arizona. She received her Associate’s Degree in Art at Eastern Arizona College, and her bachelors in Art Administration at Brigham Young University. Experimenting with acrylic paint and capturing nature’s beauty, Amberlee’s work focuses on the relationships she has with the people in her life and the beauty in her surroundings. She loves good slapstick and intelegent humor the same, and enjoys cuddling with her cats.
